At the end of 2009, I became the successor to Sven Bohde, although I have been closely connected to the festival from the first day on. I was fascinated by the presentation of extraordinary wildlife films on the big screen along with the maritime festival atmosphere throughout the whole town.

My interests in nature, photography and in the beautiful town of Eckernförde merge perfectly in the idea of the wildlife film festival GREEN SCREEN. Good pictures direct our attention towards nature, towards the influences on and conservation of our environment. With my voluntary work, I would like to help establish this festival as a permanent cultural highlight in our city.

As a married businesswoman and mother of three grown sons, I have accompanied GREEN SCREEN from the beginning. First as a sustaining member fascinated by the idea of a wildlife film festival in Eckernförde, then as a supporter, making our facilities available for the jury meetings. Finally, since the second festival, I have been a committee member on the board of directors, active in the organisation of opening and closing ceremonies and recruiting sponsors, the "Friends of the Festival". I truly enjoy working in a wonderful team for the cause of this great wildlife film festival in our beautiful town!

Being a native to Schleswig-Holstein, I returned to live in the north in Eckernförde in 2007. Since the second festival I have been actively supporting the wildlife film festival by recruiting sponsors and by organising the opening and awards ceremonies during the festival itself. Living for and with the region, GREEN SCREEN is an important enrichment for the city of Eckernförde.

I work as a degreed librarian in Kiel and very much enjoy living in Eckernförde. In this project, I am mainly committed to the issue: What does the wildlife film festival have to offer for children and adolescents?
Heidi Packschiescommittee member
As a nature enthusiast and wife of this festival's "midwife", I have been participating since the founding of the association and am jointly responsible for organising the opening ceremonies and the awards gala.

As a graduated geographer I am a convinced conservationist. In my position as city employee in Eckernförde I have been concerned with the town's environmentally sound urban planning and landscaping for 25 years. My areas of responsibility include promoting public relations in nature conservancy issues. In this course I met up with the present festival director, my former classmate Gerald Grote, in August 2004. It was the first time we discussed the idea of possibly staging a wildlife film festival. Today I form the interface between the city of Eckernförde and Green Screen® , gladly devoting much of my free time to the festival.

Binoculars, parka and two hours time: beach or woods, I enjoy nature as often as possible. I am fascinated by the beauty and biodiversity, that can be found at our doorstep. At twelve years old my career aspiration was clear: I would be the successor of Heinz Sielmann. Today, I am the spokesperson of a charity organisation here in Schleswig-Holstein. I support Green Screen with my contacts to the media of the state. The Festival is an outstanding chance to boost a general understanding of nature and it is a success story for the city of Eckernförde as well.
