Motohiro Amano joined NHK in 2000. He began making nature programs in 2006 at NHK’s main production affiliate, NHK Enterprises. He moved to the NHK bureau in Sapporo in 2010 and spent four years making programs about nature in Hokkaido. He returned to producing nature programs at NHK Enterprises in 2014.
