James Bateman is a documentary filmmaker based in the UK. For the past couple of years he has been enrolled at the National Film & Television School where he specialised in Science and Natural History Filmmaking, seeking to further develop his skills as both a director and a cameraman. For his latest film, ‘The Silent Forests’, James traveled to the Pacific Island of Guam where he documented the ongoing work of biologists operating on the front-line of invasive-species ecology.
