Friedemann Hottenbacher, born 1969 in Nagoya/Japan, grew up in Tokyo. 1988 graduated from the German School in Tokyo. 1989 - 1996: Studied communication science, Japanology, sociology and religious studies at the Free University Berlin. During his studies: freelancer for various TV-channels. Since 1997 producer at Japan News Network's correspondents' office in Berlin. Participant in a cultural exchange programme by the Japanese foreign and cultural affairs ministry in Japan 2000/2001. Since September 2001 freelance journalist and filmmaker in Berlin.
Max Mönch: born 1978 in Berlin. 2000 - 2006: Studied history, political science, sociology at the Humboldt University Berlin. 2004/05 studies at the RGGU in Moscow.
