Before They Fall

The film documents how indigenous people scientists and conservationists join in the fight against the logging of Canada's last unprotected virgin forests. The conflicts in the forests show the open wounds of colonialism and the exploitation of nature and people by the politically supported timber industry. In the Fairy Creek Valley, there are brutal police operations against peaceful forest protectors and indigenous youth, whose culture and heritage are threatened by the disappearance of the forests.
