The Beauty and the Shark

From the first moment of seeing a shark, Wolke Hegenbarth, a German television star, has been fascinated by its beauty, elegance and abilities. Actually the 28 year old has nothing to do with these creatures, but having often been confronted by the problems of sharks in her new home in Cape Town, South Africa, she now wants to fight against their extinction. Sharks are dying. They are now one of the most threatened underwater species. Well over 100 million creatures are fished for a tasteless speciality, shark fin soup. Worldwide their numbers have dropped by up to 95%, a result which is more drastic than the decrease in the number of whales.
