Asian Elephants, Kingdom of Giants
In the rich tropical forests of China’s Yunnan province live two hundred and fifty Asian elephants, the largest land mammals in Asia. This film documents the adventures of one of these herds living in Xishuangbanna, led by a matriarch whose challenge is to get the adults and calves safely through their year, and shows how their actions help to enrich the lives of so many other animals and plants, directly and indirectly, in this very biodiverse region of China.
