Terra X: Eisige Welten II - Nordpolarmeer

For thousands of years, their habitat has frozen over in winter, only to thaw again in summer. The creatures of the north polar region have adapted to this rhythm of ice and water. But if any region is feeling the effects of global warming, it is the Arctic. New temperature and ice-minus records are being reported all the time. Over the past 40 years, the extent of summer sea ice has decreased by 50 percent, posing special challenges for the fauna there.
