Michael PackschiesConsultant nature protection and science, head of the selection committee, film selection
As a graduated geographer I am a convinced conservationist. In my position as city employee in Eckernförde I have been concerned with the town's environmentally sound urban planning and landscaping for 25 years. My areas of responsibility include promoting public relations in nature conservancy issues. In this course I met up with the present festival director, my former classmate Gerald Grote, in August 2004. It was the first time we discussed the idea of possibly staging a wildlife film festival. Today I form the interface between the city of Eckernförde and Green Screen® , gladly devoting much of my free time to the festival.
