Jan Biekehör
Producer VOXJan Biekehör
After studying German and English, 2 years abroad in Great Britain and a subsequent wrong turn as a trainee at a Gelsenkirchen high school, Jan Biekehör learned the TV trade in a free production company in the early 1990s. This was followed by a few years as an author and producer for various German broadcasters, before he became editor-in-chief for the animal formats at VOX, namely "tierzeit" and "hundkatzemaus" in 2000. Since 2009 he has worked as an executive producer on a number of VOX formats that no longer have to do exclusively with animals, including "rent, buy, live", "cleverly threaded", "the emergency call center" or "the substitute teacher". And “dog-cat-mouse” also had kittens. The animal portfolio at VOX currently includes the Martin Rütter formats “The Dog Professional” and “The Dog Professional On The Go”, “The Horse Professionals”, “The Hard Dogs” and the “Baby Animals”, plus “Close Up - The Animal Clinic”, the first major VOX project that relies entirely on fixed rig technology. Together with the long-running hit "hundkatzemaus", these programs make VOX the station with probably the largest volume of regular animal programs in the entire German television landscape.

Uwe Müller
Filmmaker & ProducerUwe Müller
Having grown up "sheltered" in the GDR, Uwe Müller always wanted to see more of the world than his home, the Altenburger Land. To discover what was "forbidden" to him in the East, he applied to leave the country in 1984. In 1988 he moved to Bremen, began to explore distant countries and bought a video camera to bring something back to those at home. With nature in particular in mind, he shot small films, taught himself directing, editing and image design, and won prizes at amateur film festivals. After he was awarded the "Golden Nautilus" at the Biovision in Düsseldorf in 1996 for a film by marine biologist Hans Hass, he switched to the professional business. Since then he has shot and produced nature documentaries for numerous renowned broadcasters in Europe, Africa, Antarctica and South America, especially in Argentina where he also lived for over 10 years. For many of his films he was awarded at festivals, among others also with 3 prizes at Greenscreen.
