Bohemia - a year in the wetlands

There where a mosaic of lakes and ponds slenders through thick woods and meadows, south of the Golden City of Prague - along the Vltava - there is a unique natural paradise. What at first sight looks like an untouched water wilderness has however been created by mankind. It began in the Middle Ages, when the swamps were changed to allow fish breeding. But instead of destroying nature, over the centuries a fairy-tale landscape and a unique animal paradise have been created.

Director: Dr. Michael Schlamberger

Michael has been the Director of Photography as well as the Producer and Director for many international award winning blue-chip natural history documentaries, as well as producing AV and multi-screen shows for a variety of venues, including Museums and National Parks Centres. Michael is a qualified open water diver, and since 2006 holds a pilot's license. In 2008 Michael was awarded Austrian Television's ROMY award in the category of best cinematography for ORF UNIVERSUM's documentary "Ol' Man River - The Mighty Mississippi". Michael has developed a unique style, both with his cinematography and his productions, a style which is now recognized as having the quality seal of a ScienceVision production.

1985 - 1992 directing, production and realisation of multi-image-shows and lectures on scientific and nature photography
1986 - 1990 residency/ medical training at the University Clinic in Graz
since 1986 occupation as cameraman and training in film dramaturgy and script writing
since 1992 foundation of the production company ScienceVision
cameraman, director and producer of international blue-chip natural history films

He created his own style, which has become internationally known as "ScienceVision-brand".
