Christian Herrmann was born in Berlin-Lichtenberg in 1957. After graduating from high school in 1978 he studied Communication Sciences, International Politics and Psychology at the University of Munich, acquiring his M.A. in 1983. In the following years he worked as a press officer at the Consulate General in Munich, before turning to editing and producing international documentaries for ARD/ARTE and Bavarian Broadcastin BR in 1987. His wildlife film production „AL MAHA – IM VISIER DES FALKEN“ about falconry in Dubai was awarded the prize for the Best Short Film at the GREEN SCREEN festival 2007. Besides working as a wildlife and documentary filmmaker, Christian Herrmann gives lectures among others at Munich University's Institute for Communication Sciences. Since 2005 he is further committed to supporting children in need as chairman of the association „Hilfe für Kinder e.V.“. In 2010, he initated the Austrian wildlife film festival NaturFilmTage im Tannheimer Tal.

After an education at the association for educational film in Munich Dieter Hoese established his own production company “Expo-Film GmbH”. The cameraman and director produces promotion movies and documentations in every corner of the world. For decades he worked together with Heinz Sielmann in the great hideaways of nature and restores invaluable film copies.

Ann-Christin Hornberger: After theatre and literature studies in Munich, she has been working for the broadcasting station ZDF for the ARTE programme since 1992 in various functions. As of 2002 she has been in charge of documentaries aired in different timeslots. Many productions edited by Ann-Christin Hornberger have received prizes at international festivals. For example, in 2012 she won the Audience Award of the Marler Gruppe as editor of the biography "Mein Leben - Die Fotografin Sibylle Bergemann" about the East German photographer. This prize is endowed as one of the Grimme Awards, a prestigious German television honour. Currently, the focus of her work lies on scientific themes and the broadcast slots ARTE Wunderwelt (i.e. World of Wonders) and ARTE Entdeckung (i.e. Discovery). In her free time, she is committed to founding an international science film festival for German-speaking countries.

In den letzten 15 Jahren hat Uwe Müller mit seiner Firma Capricornum Film für den nationalen und internationalen Markt Filme, vorwiegend im Bereich Tier- und Naturdokumentation, hergestellt. Für seine Arbeit ist Uwe auf Filmfestivals mehrfach ausgezeichnet worden. Insbesondere seine Filmstorys und die Kameraarbeit mit ihren überraschenden Perspektiven entwickelten sich dabei als sein Markenzeichen. Er hat in dieser Zeit 20 Filme hergestellt und Co-Produziert. Unter anderem für Fernsehsender wie ARD / NDR, WDR, MDR; ZDF; ARTE; ZDF-Enterprises und National Geographic Channel. Uwe drehte und produzierte Filme in Deutschland, Uganda, Kenia, Sardinien, der Antarktis sowie Argentinien und Chile wo er zwischen 2000 und 2010 die meiste Zeit verbrachte. Er ist ein Spezialist für Südamerika, insbesondere für die Region Patagonien.

The Dipl.-Geographer (subsidiary subjects Geology and Oceanography) worked for the Pedagogical University Kiel and the Central Office for Regional Studies of the SHHB before he carried out the Ecological Survey Eckernfoerde in 1984/85 and subsequently became responsible for the ecological development of this city. Eckernfoerde received numerous awards for its success in nature protection and ecological city planning and enjoys recognition even in Japan and the U.S.A. Furthermore Michael Packschies is member of the Advisary Council for Nature Conservancy of the federal government of Schleswig-Holstein and co-initiated the GREEN SCREEN FESTIVAL

While studying literature, Ines Possemeyer, born 1968, created her first documentaries (NDR, ARTE); after training as a journalist at the Henri-Nannen-School, she became an editor for GEO in 1999. Her prize-winning print productions focus on scientific themes and country portraits. She dedicates about one third of her time to freelance television work. Recently, she has particularly worked on reports about the mutual relations between man and nature.

Volker Arzt (*1941) is a graduate physicist, science journalist, television presenter and author. Among others, he presented the ZDF series "Querschnitte" (i.e. Cross Sections). He first became known for his bestseller "Haben Tiere ein Bewusstsein?" (i.e. Do Animals Have Consciousness?), which he published with co-author Immanuel Birmelin. Arzt was chief editor at Geo-Film from 1984 to 1990 and has been working as a freelance author, mainly for ZDF, since 1990. For his TV-documentaries he has received numerous national and international awards.
