Born in Hanover in 1979 and grew up with „Expeditions into the Animal Kingdom“. She completed a degree in media design mixed with a few semesters of biology and then trained as an editor at the Bavarian Academy for Television. Before and after that, she made nature films on her own, e.g. in Madagascar and Ecuador (Green Screen Prize of the Youth Jury 2010), which enabled her to continue her career as an animal filmmaker. She first worked as an assistant director on a Bayerischer Rundfunk production and then trained as a camera assistant at Light & Shadow. Since becoming self-employed with „GREEN SHEEP“ in 2012, she has worked as a camerawoman on various productions for NDR, WDR, NatGeo and ARTE. She also continues to work as an Avid editor. Shooting for her next own animal film project is due to start this year.

The Dipl.-Geographer (subsidiary subjects Geology and Oceanography) worked for the Pedagogical University Kiel and the Central Office for Regional Studies of the SHHB before he carried out the Ecological Survey Eckernfoerde in 1984/85 and subsequently became responsible for the ecological development of this city. Eckernfoerde received numerous awards for its success in nature protection and ecological city planning and enjoys recognition even in Japan and the U.S.A. Furthermore Michael Packschies is member of the Advisary Council for Nature Conservancy of the federal government of Schleswig-Holstein and co-initiated the GREEN SCREEN FESTIVA

Claudia Sewig, born in 1972, studied biology in Hanover and Hamburg and worked in zoos and the Durrell Wildlife Conservations Trust in Jersey. She then graduated from the Axel Springer School of Journalism. Since 2001, Claudia Sewig has been head of the science editorial department at the Hamburger Abendblatt, where she focuses on nature and the environment. Her series of articles on nature reserves has won awards. Her biography of Bernhard Grzimek, „The man who loved animals“, was published in 2009.

Christian Baumeister is one of the most successful German animal and nature filmmakers. Born in Münster in 1971 Christian Baumeister stands for breathtaking large landscapes, detailed animal portraits and perfect image compositions. He studied biology in Germany and wildlife photography in England after having experimented with animal photography as a youngster. His subsequent projects took him to South America, Europe, Africa and Asia. In 2001 the award winning filmmaker established the production company Light and Shadow. He has increasingly worked as a producer and has been conceptualising animal series.

Klaus Scheurich is one of the pioneers of German High Definition cinematography and through working with HD devices has acquired extensive knowledge of the matter.

Udo A. Zimmermann studied German language and literature, sociology and geography. He was a research assistant at Munich University and visiting student at the University of Television and Film (HFF Munich). As editor and author for numerous wildlife and conservation series, he gained experience while shooting films in many remote corners of the world. Since 2005, he heads the editorial department Wildlife and Nature, thus being responsible for nature and wildlife series at BR.
