What are humans, really? The “Ai-Project” led by Dr. Tetsuro Matsuzawa, Primate Research Institute of Kyoto University compares humans with our closest living mammal, the chimpanzee. The project has launched a series of worldwide discoveries.

Director: Miho Nakamura

Mihio Nakamura studied physical anthropology. She has made many documentaries on primate behavior and on humankind as a part of the natural world. Since 1989, she has been covering research on chimpanzees in the wild and in captivity.
