The Archipelago

English

A modern community on the cusp of change; a people intrinsically linked to nature and tradition, though their whale hunting practice is about to be challenged by the outside world.

Director: Benjamin Huguet

Born in France, I studied at the EHESS Department of Visual Anthropology founded by Jean Rouch in Paris, where I started making documentaries. Since 2013, I have been working in London as a filmmaker and documentary cameraperson. During this time I’ve collaborated with a range of broadcasters including Channel 4, Al Jazeera US & France Télévision.

As a filmmaker, I investigate stories about natural resource management and cultural identity. My work has been showcased in museum, major documentary film events around the world as well as being bought for international release.
