Many animals find at home in our gardens and some are particularly welcome like hedgehogs or kingfishers. They are spoilt and encouraged to stay, while everything is done to keep moles and others away.

Director: Joachim Hinz

Joachim Hinz, born 1953 in Eutin (Schleswig-Holstein), has been making nature films since 1981. In this period he acted as director, cinematographer and producer in Germany and abroad on more than 50 films for ARD, ZDF and for the Institut für Weltkunde (WBF/Hamburg), a provider of educational media .
Mr. Hinz, whose main profession is that of a vocational school teacher, lives with his wife in Aukrug, a town in Schleswig-Holstein, about 30 km southwest of Kiel.

Director: Beatrix Stoepel

Dr. Beatrix Stoepel, born 1958 in Bonn, studied biology at the University of Tübingen, graduating with a PhD. From 1990 to 1997 she was an editor for Greenpeace, from 1999 to 2005 she worked as writer and editor at Studio Hamburg/NDR Naturfilm for the series "Expeditions into the Animal Kingdom". Currently, the 56-year-old lives in Schleswig-Holstein in the town of Mölln, working as a freelance writer and producer.
