Costa Rica is famous for its national parks, tropical forests and rare animals. For centuries, however, the forest had to give way more and more - especially for agriculture. Since the 1980s, the country has been making changes. Huge areas have been reforested, and plant and animal species are recovering. The film shows how what was long considered impossible has been achieved: the return of the tropical forests and their inhabitants.
