makro: Der Kampf um Agrarsubventionen

The EU Commission wants a Green Deal. Europe is to become climate-neutral by 2050. To achieve this, the highly subsidized agricultural sector would also have to be restructured. Farmers' representatives are skeptical about this. Until now, the rule in subsidy allocation has been that those who have a lot of land also get a lot of money from Brussels. Critics, however, say that climate and environmentally friendly measures should be given greater consideration in the future. Can a reform succeed against the powerful lobbies? A battle for billions is raging in Brussels.
