CHRISTIE HERRING recently earned her MA in Documentary Film and Video from Stanford University. She moved to California from NYC where she worked in educational and documentary film production. Her filmmaking background includes WAKING IN MISSISSIPPI, a 60-minute documentary about race relations in her hometown of Canton, MS. Her 4-minute Stanford film HOWDY PARTNER explores the multiplicity of meanings and feelings implicit in the word “partner” and has been featured at film festivals around the world. Christie recently completed BODIES AND SOULS about a rural health clinic in the Mississippi Delta run by a Roman Catholic Nun.
